Configuring GPS Geofencing

Set a work site's coordinates and radius, require location for clocking, and review location evidence.

Configure work-site location checks

Organisation Admins configure site coordinates in Settings. Requiring GPS means staff must share location when clocking in and out. The radius provides location evidence for review; it should not be treated as a guarantee that an outside-radius attempt will be blocked.

Set a site boundary

  1. Open Settings → Locations and add or open the work site.
  2. Enter its name and address.
  3. Use Pick on Map to choose the site, or enter Latitude and Longitude directly.
  4. Set the geofence radius in metres, check the map boundary, and select Save Location.

Require GPS for staff clocking

  1. Open Settings → General → Time & Attendance.
  2. Enable Force Location Access and select Save Changes.
  3. Ask staff to allow location access in their device and browser or app settings.

If location is unavailable

Check location permissions and retry. GPS can vary indoors or near a boundary, so test your chosen radius at the site. Managers can review available location information in timesheet and clock-attempt records and use authorised staff-clocking tools when a genuine correction is needed.
